I forgot...Use the Target Fresh Fruit Coupon!

On Targets website there is a coupon for $1 off any fresh produce.  I picked up a Free Avacado and $.13 bananas today using the coupons.  Just watch to make sure they take off the $1 as my coupon only removed $.46 and she had to adjust it.

Kraft Cheese at Target

Now that I have my weekly plan in place, I am working hard to get all my errand planning done on Tuesdays so that on Thursday I am ready to hit the stores while my kids are in school.  I have 2.5 hours to get it all done in...and today was my first success.  After 2 weeks of attempting to get it done...this week was it!

I hit Target, The Bread Store, King Soopers, and Albertson's today in 2 hours without kids, and had enough time to get home and unload and scan my purchases (I scan for Homescan, and earn points for rewards).

I thought I would let you all know that Target has Kraft Cheese on sale for $2 and there were peelies on some of the cheese for $5 off any 5 Kraft participating cheese.  But, if you can't fine the peelies...you can print two of these puppies and get 10 7 or 8 oz. packages of cheese for $10!  Freeze it and use it later when cheese is not on sale!

Enjoy!

My Weekly Plan...and our Menu!

I am cooking more healthy for my family for several reasons.  I LOVE Body For Life Recipes and I am following the diet and exercise plan.  I feel so much better, have a ton of energy, my brain is clear...and the best part is that my house has been clean, kids have fun activities to do, and I feel so much more relaxed!

Here is my weekly plan: I follow Fly Lady (check her out...she is AWESOME www.flylady.com)
Monday: Weekly Blessing (1 Hour of Cleaning)
Tuesday: Plan Day (I also water my plants this day)
Wednesday: Desk day (Bills/Budget, phone calls, appointments, estimates for our business, pull coupons, etc)
Thursday: Errand Day (Grocery Shop, and any other stops that I can make in 2.5 hours)
Friday: Car/Purse clean out day (I go to a free vacuum place and clean out my car every other Friday, and I fill up my tank while I am out...Clean out my purse and put away receipts that I didn't get done on desk day)

Each day I have a morning routine: Shower, get dressed, wipe down my sink and toilet, start laundry, make bed, take my medication (I have a low thyroid), empty dishwasher, feed dog and kids...then after all that I finally feed myself.  Then I check e-mail and may planner for any appointments.  I also pull out any meat or get my plan for dinner going).  I also do 15 minutes in each zone for the week.  So, for example this week is Living room/Family Room.  So, I have been doing short missions in both rooms.  Dust, declutter, vacuum furniture, etc.)  My life is less chaotic when I live like this and I have time to play...oh, and the hubby is happy that he always has clean clothes to wear!  :)

Here is our Menu for this week:
Wednesday: Baked Chicken Parmesean with Baby Spinach (spaghetti for Thomas...he is a vegetarian)
Thursday: Fish/Bean Tacos
Friday: It's homemade pizza night!
Saturday: Movie night with popcorn, fruit, nuts, etc.
Sunday: Chicken/Bean Fajitas
Monday: Spaghetti with Meatballs and Salad
Tuesday: Buffalo Burgers/Veggie Burgers, homemade french fries, veggie.
Wednesday: Leftovers

Tomorrow is my shopping day for all my needed items.  I don't need much, and I need to stock up on some more cereal.  How is it that last time I checked I had over 30 boxes, and now I have 6 in my stock pile???  I just don't get how my family can chow down on that much cereal???  I have a rain check for cereal at Albertson's so I am heading there tomorrow also!

Have a fabulous day!

Disappointed in ads lately...

After going through next weeks ads...I am just disappointed in the sales lately.  I am trying to buy more healthy snacks and foods for my family and well...there just isn't great coupons for those types of things.  Why is eating healthy more expensive...and why don't manufactures put out more coupons for the healthy stuff???

I did get a rain check today for Honey Nut Cheerios at Albertson's.  With my coupons they will be about $1 a box...so I thought I would pick up a few boxes...well they were out, surprise surprise.

There is a farmers market sale this weekend at King Soopers...pumpkins for 3 for $10
Lettuce $.88
Spinach $1
Winter Squash 2lbs $1
3LB. bag Onions $1
Bartlett Pears $1lb.

Hoping for a great deal coming up soon to get me back in coupon mode.  Like the $75 toy I got last Christmas for $6!  I need something like that to get me back!

Fall Crafts on a dime...

This weekend we got a little taste of fall...for one day.  It was chilly and wet on Saturday so we decided to get crafty at our house.  My daughter has a book project that she needed to get done, so I helped her cut out her title on my Cricut...and the rest was up to her to complete...and she still needs to finish it.

Thomas was wanting to get into watercolors...so we picked up a set of colors and brushes for under $10 at Hobby Lobby with the 40% off coupons that were out last week.  This was his first try at it...He is really an artist

I wanted to get some Fall decor up so my expert color creator husband came up with the fall colors using these neat tempera powder paints.
Apparently I can't take a not blurry picture today.

He cut some 2x4's that he had in the garage to the size I wanted.  I sanded a bit and we started painting.  Let them dry over night and I applied the vinyl in the morning.  Here are our Harvest blocks with a few acorns on the letters that I added in my Sure Cuts A Lot program.

I also added a little fall colors to my mantle and a table in the living room.  The candle sticks I found on clearance at Kohl's for under $3 each.

I also decided that I needed to add some color to my dining room and kitchen.  I found this really neat basket at Hobby Lobby for $7 with a coupon, added the Fall leaves and a candle.

I used a little more of the fall leaves in my kitchen around my Menu board that I made a while back.

While I did all these projects...the hubby had the kids busy painting with watercolors...such a fun weekend.  Although we had planned on doing yard work...this was more fun!

Update on Preschool and FREE Toothpaste

Jacob was a happy camper when I picked him up.  He was all smiles and had a great day!  He made a green GO sign complete with green macaroni!  Then he asked me if he could go have Mrs. McDonald hamburgers for lunch!  LOL!  (Mrs. McDonald is his Teachers name...cracks me up!)

FREE toothpaste at King Soopers this week.  Clip out your $.75/1 coupon from the 8/29S and go get your Colgate toothpaste!

He cried...my heart broke

Today was day 2 of preschool...and he cried!  The entire way there he said he was going to miss me.  I didn't realize that he would cry when I dropped him off.  My heart broke as I walked away and his teacher held him and told him today would be so much fun!

So here I am wondering how he feels at this moment...the feeling like you need to be there with your baby to comfort him, yet knowing he needs to do this...I can't quite describe it, but I'm sure all mommies out there can understand.

Here is a picture of his first day!

At this point he was really unsure and wouldn't smile for me.

A few smiles before we left.

Now I am off to find a few more deals at the grocery store for my weekly shopping.

My baby is now in Preschool

I haven't had time to get on here and do any posting...busy time of year with our business and trying to get things organized for the kids and school stuff in now in full swing.  My daughter has her first book report coming up.  She wants to make a poster for her project and wants my help cutting out things with my Cricut...should be fun!

My son started his first day of preschool today!  Yes, I cried a tad but am free to get my chores done among the other items on my to do list...

He was super excited until he heard a screaming child and thought this may not be so much fun after all.  But, in Jacob fashion he gave me a big hug, looked at me with a tear in his eye and winked...how darn cute is he!

I miss him and his antics as I sit here and wipe a tear away from my eye...but my baby is such a sweet boy and is growing up right before my eyes!  I know that the 3 years we had together will never be forgotten as I loved every minute of him being with me all day!  It's only 2.5 hours...I can do this!
