(10) Boxes of Morning Star Farms Veggie Products
(5) Boxes of Swiss Miss Hot Cocoa
2lbs. of Bananas
18 Eggs

Total: $3.62

As many of you know my hubby is a vegetarian.  I am always looking for a deal on Morning Star Farms products.  If I can't find a deal...I will buy one box here and there.  So, when this deal came up, I just had to find a way to get many boxes.  So far I have 35 boxes of the product.  I plan to pick up 5 more.  I was picking up the boxes for $.34 last week, then Target did a wonderful thing...they put them on a price cut for $2.99, what does that equal for me????

FREE + Overage on Veggie Products!!!!

YIPPEEEE!

Here is what I did:
$2.99 box of Garden Burgers
$2.99 box of Sausage Links
Total: $5.98
Less (2) $2.00 off any 1 Manufacture coupon
Less (1) $2.00 off any 2 Target coupon
Total -$.02 for two boxes of MS Farms

The Swiss Miss regular price is $1.02
Use (1) Target coupon for $1.00 off 1
Total $0.02 each box
I bought 5, my total was $.10
This off set my -$.10 in MS Farms products

I bought Bananas because we needed some fruit, and some eggs...because well... we needed them also.

Total Savings: $38.60

G-Force Movie this Tuesday 12/15

G-Force comes out on Tuesday.

Target has it on Sale for $22.99, but you can have them price match the movie to Walmart's ad.  Just take the entire ad in with you.  The price would then be $19.96
Use the manufacture coupon Here
Then use the target $5.00 off any Blue Ray Here it is in the electronics section of the coupons.

Pay $4.96 for the Blue Ray combo pack.  The combo pack comes with a regular DVD, so even if you don't have a Blue Ray player you can still get in on this deal.  My kids are loving me this Christmas!

If Target won't take the Target coupon after a price match, it is still cheaper to buy it for $22.99 and get the movie for $7.99

Edited:  I just got back from Target and they did the price match with coupons.  Worked perfectly.  However, I have noticed the Target coupon may have disappeared.

Thank you AFullCup.com for this idea!

King Soopers:

I had (5) coupons.  One an IP from Challenge Butter and the others were blinkie coupons (the little machines attached to the shelves that spit out coupons) I picked up a couple from Albertson's that doubled to $1.00, but the ones I picked up at King Soopers would only allow the value of the coupon and not =$1.00
So, I bought 5lbs of butter and used all coupons

Great Target Trip this week! 12/6

I can't believe the deals that I got at Target this week!  I walked out paying $6.71 for a toy that is originally $74.99!  All thanks to the ladies at AFullCup.com!  They found the idea...I just had to fight for it.

The toy is this: Fisher Price Trio Castle Set

I decided to give this a try for a gift for Christmas for my kids.
The toy is on sale at Kmart this week for $29.99 (you need to bring the entire ad with you)

I paid with a $5.00 Target gift card that I just got from a deal that I will explain below.
So, my OOP was $6.71 with tax for a toy that is originally $74.99!!!!
Then I paid with the cash that I got back from two rebates.  One for the glade items, this deal paid me $10.00 above what I originally paid, and one from Sargento for trying out their Salad finshers...so my real total OOP was NOTHING!!!

My kids are going to LOVE this toy and I LOVE this price!  LOL, can't beat a deal like that...now I need to find another great deal like this!

November Grocery Budget Update

My budget went a tad higher than I wanted it to, but I am doing MUCH better than I was.  Last month I spent $453.44 which is $113.36 per week.

This month I have spent $340.01 which is $85.00 per week.  I reduced my budget by $28.36 per week or $113.43 for the month.  I saved one weeks worth of groceries this month!

December's Challenge:
Reduce budget by an additional $30.00 each week or $120.00 for the month!

I really think this is possible.  I have almost everything I need for baking, and I am stocked up on toilet paper...LOL, so I am hoping for some awesome sales and to be able to use up some of the stock pile that I have.

Have a wonderful and safe Thanksgiving...remember all that you are thankful for!

I headed out to King Soopers today to pick up the items on my list, and lo and behold, they actually had ALL of the items I wanted!!!  Amazing as I usually find that they are out of one item that I want.

The cashier said, "I think you are the first person to have a coupon for everything you bought"  I have to disagree, there has to have been SOMEONE that has done this before.

I did have to pick up some things for Jacob's birthday this weekend, but all in all, not a bad trip.

I spent $37.18

I didn't take a picture...I had a hairy day!

Bakery Outlet!

I found this great little place for all your bread needs!  It is on the south side of 120th and West side of York.  There used to be a Conoco there.

They sell Orowheat Bread, Thomas' english muffins, hamburger/hotdog buns, Entemenn's (I'm not sure how to spell that) products...and more.

I picked up two loaves of Orowheat bread, a 24 pack of Thomas' English Muffins and 3 packs of doughnuts...for the kids and my hubby.

I used a coupon they sent me in the mail for buy one get one free, and paid $4.78...I would have paid this at the grocery store for 1 loaf of bread (not on sale or with coupons of course).

If you spend $5.00 you get an item for free, and they have punch cards.  You get an item free after you spend $30.00.  Tuesdays are double punch day, and they give a Senior discount of 10% off!

Not a bad deal when I don't have time to make my own bread.

I am hoping to buy my 40 items for about $3.50ish.  If it all works out like it is suppose to.

You can roll these register rewards back and forth.  For example, I will go purchase the Robitussin to go product, pay for the item.  Then use that Register Reward to buy the Beano.  Then I can go back and buy the Robitussin with that RR.  You can't use the register reward to purchase the same item and get another RR to print.

This is where you can use another Register Reward to pay for these items.  Just make sure that you have enough items per coupon.  If you don't have enough items.  Pick up the holiday pencils or a candy bar to cover the amount of coupons.  So, if you have 4 items, and 5 coupons.  You need a filler item for the 5th coupon.  I usually pick up pudding, a pencil, or something really cheap.

Getting Organized, and Pictures of my Coupon Binder

The KEY to couponing, or at least that I have found, is staying organized.  If I have my coupons everywhere then I have a difficult time getting my lists together.  I have made this one thing that I try to have completed by the time I get my weekly ads.  I get the grocery inserts in my mailbox in Tuesday.  So, I try to keep up each week.  Then when I get my ads I can carefully find the best deals with my coupons in their correct place.

Now, there are many ways to organize your coupons.  You need to find what works for you.  I like to take my coupons with me.  However, I don't always take them.  It depends on the amount of time I have and if I think I may need them.  I try to get my lists together  and only take the coupons and my list into the store with me.

I have created a binder that has a strap for carrying to house my coupons.  I bought this binder on clearance at target for about $10.  Then I utilized my coupon at Office Max to pick up Trading Card holders and dividers.  I created dividers for each category.  Then I added my trading card holders.  I was then ready to add my coupons.  I can open to each category and see at a glance if I have a coupon or not.  The most time consuming part is clipping and putting them away.  Pop in a move and clip away.  I also tend to have several inserts each week, so I match them up and clip them all at the same time.

I get the Sunday paper and my mom gives me her coupons that she doesn't use. (The paper for a year cost me $24.00, I saved this on my first shopping trip).  Then if it is a great week I will go buy 2-3 more newspapers for the coupons.  Then I clip and put away.  The first thing you need to do is start getting coupons.  I also get them from printing online.  More information on that later.

Assingment #1:  Start collecting coupons.

Assignment #2: Organize your coupons

This is my binder.  It has two sections.  One has food items, and the other has toiletry, batteries, etc.  I also keep my ads in it, along with a calculator, paper, scissors, and a pen.  I don't have all my supplies in it at the moment, as I am working on a couple of ads.  This is just one of many ways to organize your coupons.

Why I am starting this blog

I have been thinking about writing a blog about the deals that I find for a while. I LOVE when I find a deal and I tend to share it many times over with friends and family. So, instead of having to call various people I decided that it would make my life and many other's lives easier if I posted the deals here.

I have taught several moms about how to use coupons and have read over the last year about how to stretch my dollar even more. This month I have saved over $700, just by shopping the sales and using my coupons. I am still learning and this will be a journey for me as well as helping others. Who wouldn't want to keep thier money in their own pocket instead of handing it over at the grocery check out every week. I have lowered my grocery budget by about $100 each month. My goal is to lower my budget even more. I would like to have my bill down to $50.00 a week. Challenge yourself to learn one new way to lower your budget each week. Start slow, don't try to do it all at once, or you will get overwhelmed and quit.

I have also had trouble finding information for my area on the internet. There isn't a place to find the deals at Albertson's, which is really close to my house, and tends to have great sales...and even doubles, triples, and quadruples, coupons.

I hope that this blog can help you find great deals and feed your family for less. Come join me on my journey as I challenge myself to this new budget amount.

Stay tuned for this weeks grocery and drug store deals!
