Fall Crafts on a dime...

This weekend we got a little taste of fall...for one day.  It was chilly and wet on Saturday so we decided to get crafty at our house.  My daughter has a book project that she needed to get done, so I helped her cut out her title on my Cricut...and the rest was up to her to complete...and she still needs to finish it.

Thomas was wanting to get into watercolors...so we picked up a set of colors and brushes for under $10 at Hobby Lobby with the 40% off coupons that were out last week.  This was his first try at it...He is really an artist

I wanted to get some Fall decor up so my expert color creator husband came up with the fall colors using these neat tempera powder paints.
Apparently I can't take a not blurry picture today.

He cut some 2x4's that he had in the garage to the size I wanted.  I sanded a bit and we started painting.  Let them dry over night and I applied the vinyl in the morning.  Here are our Harvest blocks with a few acorns on the letters that I added in my Sure Cuts A Lot program.

I also added a little fall colors to my mantle and a table in the living room.  The candle sticks I found on clearance at Kohl's for under $3 each.

I also decided that I needed to add some color to my dining room and kitchen.  I found this really neat basket at Hobby Lobby for $7 with a coupon, added the Fall leaves and a candle.

I used a little more of the fall leaves in my kitchen around my Menu board that I made a while back.

While I did all these projects...the hubby had the kids busy painting with watercolors...such a fun weekend.  Although we had planned on doing yard work...this was more fun!
